Meet Sarah

Having originally studied a Bachelor of Inclusive Education and Disability Studies, followed by a Master of Teaching, I have worked as an educator specialising in learner diversity and inclusive education for years. I also have extensive experience delivering personalised and child-centred reading intervention, guided by evidence-based practices.

I have watched children with disabilities and learning difficulties get lost in mainstream classrooms, fall through the cracks and be labelled as "naughty" or "lazy" and advocated tirelessly for their needs. I have a strong understanding of the Disability Discrimination Act and passionately uphold the Disability Standards for Education. I believe in a Universal Design for Education, where different learners deserve different approaches, and learning ALWAYS begins with the child.

Different doesn't mean difficult. It means different. Every child deserves an education that reflects who they are, because there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to learning. One child. One unique learner. One education that fits THEM.
